I totally applaud you for trying to get more reading in. I've been a bookworm all my life too and as I work in publishing, I am so lucky to be exposed to so many terrific reads. BUT - knitting can take over your life and ALL your free time! I can't read and knit at the same time, not even mindless knitting. But looking over my reading journal from last year, my reading total was way down, just as the knitting was way up. How to reconcile two such time-consuming but addictive and worthy loves? And my "book stash" is just as out of control as my yarn stash. Part of my New Year's resolution is to try and find that balance.
